Trident Group delivers keys to 13 families as it launches its new Wrockwardine Wood homes in Telford
The first phase of Trident Group’s housing development in Telford was today launched by the Group and the region’s Mayor. Keys to six, two bedroom, bungalows and seven, two bedroom, houses at Trident’s Wrockwardine Wood development were handed to families who have been eagerly awaiting the move into their new homes.
The £7.5 million development will further release fifty five, two and three bedroom, homes quickly followed by 8 apartments, which is part of the development’s Phase 2, later in the year, offering a lifeline to many local residents otherwise priced out of an area they have known all their lives.
Upon receiving their keys from Mayor of the Borough of Telford and Wrekin, Councillor Stephen Reynolds, Gary Butler said: “Me and my wife Marie have lived locally for decades and owned our previous home for 37 years, but we were looking to downsize and also make things easier. Our new bungalow from Trident Group has helped us a lot.”
Mr Butler added “I know a good building when I see one and you cannot fault what they’ve built here, the workmanship on these homes is second to none. Our new home offers us peaceful surroundings, a great community and my daughter’s home is literally a five minute walk up the road. My wife hasn’t given our previous home a second thought.”
The Mayor of the Borough of Telford and Wrekin said, “I was delighted to have been asked to come along to the handover of Trident’s new Wrockwardine Wood Development in Telford. It is fantastic to see the improvement that this particular development has made to the area and I am very pleased to see Trident Group continue to grow and provide quality developments within the Borough.”
David Jones, Director of Housing at Trident Group said: “This is an exciting time for Trident Group as we complete the first phase of building with this new housing project at Wrockwardine Wood. However, hopefully not as exciting a period for the new residents moving in and so I wish them well in the future.”
